For a change of pace, I recommend the following routine as an alternative to your regular workout:
1) Prepare your body with two days of window and tile washing;
2) Go from the Times Square stop on the N to the ticket counter at Port Authority in 8 minutes;
3) Push and pull heavy furniture;
4) Finish up by schlepping books and files from one room to the next.
That is a sure-fire routine; it works all the major muscle groups, including the core.
