While in line at the supermarket just now, I learned that, 41 years ago today, this song hit the U.K. hit parade (the British have historically been more open to Black Music than U.S. Whites have). Whether sung by The Stylistics or by Marvin and Diana, this Bell and Bell composition is everything.
